SHEBOYGAN - A Sheboygan woman pleaded no contest to child neglect charges after leaving her two children alone in a car while she went into a tanning salon.

Lori Yeager struck a plea deal and will avoid time in jail. Back in February, she left her 23-month-old and 10-year-old boys alone in her car. Temperatures were bitter cold.

She told the judge it was a mistake. "This could happen to anyone, " Yeager said.

She told the judge her husband was supposed to pick up the children but admitted they should not have been left unattended.
