ST. FRANCIS - The wife of missing bank executive Keith Gores said she hopes he's alive to hear her pleas that he come home. Sara Gores spoke with TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Lauren Leamanczyk Tuesday.
"I miss you so much. You've just got to come home. Everyone loves you and you've just got to come home," she implored, hoping her husband hears her.
New ads are appearing in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and other Wisconsin newspapers as well as the Chicago Tribune and the Denver Post. The ads urge people to call if they've seen Keith Gores.
He left home Thursday morning for work. Sara Gores said he was confused before leaving. He believed it was Sunday and was surprised when his wife reminded him it was actually Thursday. She said she believes her husband may be suffering from amnesia. Keith Gores hit his head three weeks ago after slipping on the ice on a sidewalk.
Police found his car Thursday afternoon near McKinley Marina on Milwaukee's lakefront. They say dogs picked up his scent in the area. After an exhaustive search of Lake Michigan, there's still no sign of Keith Gores.
It's a small relief to his wife. "The only sense of comfort I get is what they haven't found I guess," she said.
Police have not ruled out foul play but have no evidence to convince them the banker was harmed. They also have few leads.
Keith Gores worked and M&I Bank. He's described as 5' 6" with an athletic build. He was wearing a suit when he left Thursday morning. St. Francis police were asking anyone with information to call them.
