Former Insurance Agent Faces 52 Felony Counts

  • Print
WAUKESHA COUNTY - A trial continues Monday in Waukesha for a woman who's on trial for more than 100 felonies involving identity theft. Nancy Paquette used to work as an agent for American Family Insurance. To try to reach the top, Paquette, 46, allegedly stole birth, social security and driver's license information for 52 people and forged their signatures on insurance policies she took out. The Journal Sentinel says she allegedly did this to gain bonuses and commissions and get more vacations from the company. Court records say that she even put in $200,000 out of her own pocket to pay premiums on these policies, but doing that would help her make more than a quarter million in commissions. Paquette is also charged with two counts of taking $54,000 that a customer gave her company for business insurance.
