Car Windows Smashed

OCONOMOWOC - Several Waukesha County residents woke up to find their car windows smashed.
"When I got up in the morning, and I saw it, the first thing I thought was who's mad at me?" said victim Sandy Westendorf.
Police don't believe Westendorf, or any of the other eight victims, were specifically targeted.
The vandals destroyed cars all over Waukesha County's Lake Country.
None of the victims had any known connection, except that all of their cars were parked outside overnight.
"It appears on the face of it that these are just random acts," said Detective Steve Pederson of the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department.
Several of the cars had valuables inside, but nothing was stolen from any of the interiors.
If the vandals are caught, they could face felony charges because of the extent of the damage.
Because the vandalism happened in several Waukesha County communities, including Wales, Delafield, Oconomowoc and Summit, all of the police departments will work together to find the suspects.
"This is probably a case where the same group is responsible for all, so this is when the agencies put their heads and resources together," Pederson said.
"I just don't understand why people get their kicks damaging other people's property. It's a sad thing," Westendorf said.
