Trial Delayed with Change of Venue 8/22/06

MANITOWOC - Steven Avery's trial for the rape and murder of a young photographer will not be held in Manitowoc County. A judge has granted a change of venue. The trial will be held in Calumet County, but the jury will be made up of Manitowoc County residents. Avery and his nephew are charged with raping and murdering Teresa Halbach. The judge also granted a delay in the start of that trial. Proceedings will now begin in February, instead of October.
