Wrongful Death Suit to Freeze Money 5/23/06

MANITOWOC - Another chapter plays out today in the Steven Avery case. The man who is accused of killing Teresa Halbach last year faces a wrongful death lawsuit, filed by the Halbach family. Today, a judge in Manitowoc will hear motions for that suit. The wrongful death suit seeks to freeze $400,000. It's money that was awarded to Avery by Manitowoc County earlier this year, for his wrongful imprisonment for another crime.
