Fight for Avery's Money 5/1/06

MANITOWOC - The legal wheels keep turning in the complex case of accused killer Steven Avery. A judge will hear motions in a civil lawsuit filed against Avery by the family of Teresa Halbach. Avery is accused of killing Halbach last fall. One matter that may come up involves the cash settlement Avery won because he was wrongly imprisoned for a separate rape case. Avery's lawyers want their legal fees to come out of the settlement checks he gets from Manitowoc County. That's before any money goes to the Halbach family.
