Avery Allegations Reconsidered 4/13/06

MANITOWOC COUNTY - The man charged with the murder of Teresa Halbach may not have to face a 2004 rape allegation. The Brown County district attorney is re-evaluating the allegation, made by a teenage relative of Avery. New evidence has surfaced in this case, but the district attorney said he won't file charges yet. If Avery is convicted for the Halbach murder, the relative could be spared a potentiall difficult trial.
