St. Patrick's Day in Milwaukee is not just a celebration of all things Irish, but a celebration, period!
At least three major parades, nearly three dozen Irish pubs, hundreds of Irish musicians and dancers, thousands - perhaps millions - of pints of beer and corned beef and cabbage dishes enjoyed.
We have the ultimate St. Patrick's Day event guide to let you plan your celebration, what pubs to go to (scroll down), and which MCTS bus routes to use to get there safely without driving.
Of course, in Milwaukee, there's always more events to celebrate St. Patrick's feast day than just on Tuesday, March 17th.
At least three parades will mark the occasion: the Downtown Milwaukee parade (with TODAY'S TMJ4's own Melissa McCrady and Diane Pathieu) and Racine parade on Saturday, March 14th and the parade in the Town of Erin on the big day itself.
Plenty of pubs listed will have other events before and after St. Patrick's Day as well. To find out what they're doing, click on their web sites (listed below).
A grand majority of the bars below will have corned beef and cabbage or corned beef sandwiches, although one of the managers from County Clare told us that fish and seafood are more true Irish cuisine than corned beef.
