Son of Packers' Coordinator Sentenced to Jail
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The 18-year-old son of Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin has been sentenced to six months in jail after being convicted of sexually assaulting two young girls and two counts of battery.
Brown County Circuit Judge Sue Bischel on Thursday also placed Michael T. Philbin on probation for 30 months and ordered that he write a letter of apology to the victims and their parents.
The state Justice Department, which prosecuted Philbin, says he was convicted of two counts of having sex with a child older than 16 and two counts of battery -- all misdemeanors.
The criminal complaint says Philbin had nonconsensual sex with two females who said they were drunk at his Brown County home on Aug. 21.
