GRAFTON - A 19-year-old man is in the hospital recovering from a hit-and-run accident in the Town of Grafton. It happened near the intersection of Falls Road and Cheyenne about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim, Michael Huff, was jogging on the south side of the road when he was struck from behind by a car traveling east bound. He suffered a broken elbow and needed surgery to reattach muscles to bones in his arm. The vehicle hit him and knocked him to the ground.

His parents feel upset that the driver did not try to assist the young man. "I feel angry that they didn't stop and help," said Huff's father Dennis Huff.

"Luckily, it was close to a house where Michael could make it to the house himself and get help. If it had been 100 yards down, there are no houses there and he would have been left there," said Huff's mom, Debra Huff.

The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation. They say they are looking for a dark-green or dark-blue SUV. The vehicle may have damage to the passenger side mirror.
