WEST ALLIS – We are just 15 days away from the summer Olympics in Beijing, China, and West Allis’s very own Chellsie Memmel is on her way to Olympic training.

She left for Houston early Thursday morning from Mitchell International Airport, and soon will be on her way to China.

It will be her first Olympic games. She says she’s not nervous yet, but actually quite excited and very focused.

“I just have to look at it as just another competition. If you look at it like anything bigger it will make it a lot harder on your mind,” Memmel said.
