WEST ALLIS - A TODAY’S TMJ4 exclusive: The regional finals were played Tuesday night, but West Allis Central's team roster was a lot shorter at the playoff game, because five of the varsity players are suspended indefinitely.

Greenfield police said the players were some of about a dozen students responsible for vandalizing cars, including the rear window Kari Rozwadowski's Volkswagen.

“I was angry, I was mad,” Rozwadowski said.

Fixing the car window will cost $400, money the college student just doesn't have. She thinks the vandals should cover the cost.

“I hope they learned a lesson from this, not to go around smashing people's cars. I didn't do anything to them,” Rozwadowski said.

The yard statue that was used to smash Rozwadowski's car window was stolen from the yard of another victim.

James Jankowski said the teens wrote an obscenity on his RV, and sliced the tire.

“It cost about $600 for this tire to be replaced,” Jankowski said.

Greenfield police said all the players were cited for criminal damage to property as well as loitering and prowling.

Knowing some of the teens allegedly responsible are star athletes is even more frustrating to the victims.

“You'd think they would be fine, upstanding kids if they're into sports," Jankowski said. "They have other things to do other than to damage other people's property. You know playing baseball is fine. They should do more of that, instead of this.”

The high school principal said several of the players who were cited play multiple sports. So this could affect other West Allis Central sports teams as well.

The athletes will remain suspended until the school finishes its investigation into what happened.
