Harley-Davidson Museum Ready To Roll

MILWAUKEE - Revving up for Milwaukee's new Harley-Davidson Museum: the museum is ready to open up their doors to the public this weekend.
TODAY'S TMJ4's cameras went inside Wednesday to give you a sneak peek.
From the room where they made the first Harley-Davidson, to taking a virtual ride on a historic hog, there is plenty to see. There are 450 motorcycles in the collection, plus it's interactive!
You can sit on a historic bike, learn about how Harley-Davidson's came to fruition, and even see famous bikes like daredevil Evel Knievel's Harley as well as the Harley-Davidson owned by Rock and Roll heartthrob Elvis.
This truly is a collection like no other in the world. Jim Fricke is the curatorial director of the museum.
"We know that this place is going to be a mecca for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts and motorcycling fans, but I think we were successful in taking all of these amazing resources and stories and creating something that literally anyone who walks through the door could find something engaging here," Fricke said.
Museum officials say they anticipate at least 350,000 visitors a year. In addition to the excitement inside, there are festivities outside as well. The museum will also house two new restaurants, "Motor" and "Cafe Racer."
The museum officially opens to the public Saturday morning.
