Police search lake for missing 30-year-old Wisconsin native's body
MAPLEWOOD, Minn. (AP) -- Law enforcement officers are searching Keller Lake in Maplewood for the body of a missing St. Paul woman presumed dead.
Volunteers turned up something of interest during a search of Keller Regional Park last weekend for clues in the disappearance of Kira Trevino. Police have not disclosed what it was.
The 30-year-old central Wisconsin native disappeared Feb. 21. Her husband, Jeffery Trevino, has been charged with her murder after large amounts of blood were found in their home.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports authorities as well as a cadaver dog could be seen working on the lake Tuesday. Crews have cut ice from the lake's surface, and divers were in the water. So far, the divers have found nothing.
Jeffery Trevino remains in jail on $1 million bail.
