ATLANTA - The man many still consider to be the greatest home run hitter of all time...tweets!

Former Milwaukee Braves and Brewers slugger Hank Aaron has opened up a Twitter account.

Aaron held the all-time home run record from 1974 until 2006, when Barry Bonds hit his 756th home run.

The Hall of Famer played in Milwaukee from 1954-65 with the Braves, then returned as a Milwaukee Brewers from 1975-76.

One hour after his first tweet, he gathered up about 12,000 followers.
