Hartford police seek church vandals
HARTFORD, Wis. - Members of the First Baptist Church in Hartford are spending the weekend close to home after vandals wreaked havoc.
Someone smashed several windows, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
Neighbors say they were startled out of their sleep by a loud pounding sound.
The vandal apparently used fire extinguishers to shatter the ornate stained glass windows.
Hartford police were called to the scene, but so far, have not been able to make any arrests.
Reverend Michael Gordon says this was not theft, this was an act of anger. Nothing was stolen.
He's saddened to see his beautiful windows in pieces.
