Packers Erik Walden signs with Indianapolis Colts
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Colts have signed Green Bay Packers linebacker Erik Walden.
The team announced the "agreement in principle" on their website during NFL free agency day 1, March 12, 2013.
Walden has also played for the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chief. He has been with the Packers since 2010.
In Walden 's last season with the Packers, he was making $700,000 a season. According to Bob McGinn with the Journal Sentinel, Walden signed a four-year deal with the Colts, for a reported $16 million.
According to PackersNews.com, the following players are unrestricted free agents:
RB Cedric Benson
WR Donald Driver
RB Ryan Grant
WR Greg Jennings
OLB Brad Jones
OLB Erik Walden
In addition, the Packers did not tender the following restricted free agents:
TE Tom Crabtree
LB Robert Francois
OLB Frank Zombo
