Man arrested as suspect in homicide in Milwaukee's South Side
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened on 5th Street around 6:30 p.m. on March 10.
According to Sergeant Mark Stanmeyer, the suspect, a 49-year-old Milwaukee man, was involved in an argument with the mother of his children. When the woman called a male acquaintance to the scene, the acquaintance was shot by the suspect outside of the home.
The victim, a 39-year-old Milwaukee man, died at the scene. The suspect fled in his car but was arrested a short time later when he crashed into a parked car in the 1800 block of S. 13th Street.
The District Attorney is currently deciding on possible charges.
