Almost 8,000 left without power in downtown Milwaukee Friday after outage
MILWAUKEE - A major power outage left 8,000 people without power in the downtown area Friday afternoon, including on the Marquette campus.
The outage started around 4:45 p.m. According to a We Energies spokesperson, the outage was caused by an equipment failure at the substation on 28th & St Paul. There were reports of a flash when the failure happened.
