MU Law School, Journal Sentinel to hold conference on possibilities for new arena
MILWAUKEE - Marquette University Law School and the Journal Sentinel has announced they will be holding a forum on the possibilities of a new multi-purpose arena in Milwaukee.
According to Don Walker with the Journal Sentinel, the event wil be held April 8 at 8 a.m. on the Marquette campus. It is open to the public but you must reserve your seat in advance.
"Conference organizers hope the discussion with a group of experts will delve into whether a facility is needed, who would pay for it and whether a new arena might be part of a larger plan that addresses other community or regional needs," said Walker.
The confirmed list of attendees includes County Executive Chris Abele; Marina Dimitrijevic, chairwoman of the Milwaukee County board; Craig Leipold, majority owner of the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League; and others.
