WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (AP) -- A Wood County man accused of accidentally shooting his friend while intoxicated has pleaded no contest to a felony charge in an agreement with prosecutors.

Twenty-two-year-old Tyler Enkro entered the plea to homicide by intoxicated use of firearm in court Thursday. A second felony was dismissed.

A criminal complaint says Enkro called 911 on Dec. 18, 2011, saying he had accidentally shot his friend, 31-year-old Nick Hoffman. The Wisconsin Rapids man had suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and later died at a Marshfield hospital.

Prosecutors say Enkro's blood alcohol content at the time was 0.17 percent, which is more than twice the legal limit to drive.

WSAW-TV says Enkro will be sentenced May 13.
