Local high school gym teacher allegedly asked student to 'expose herself' to him
RACINE - A 61-year-old Horlick High School coach is behind bars after he allegedly harassed a student, making "disturbing comments" to her.
The girl, a 15-year-old student, said that on Feb. 7 of this year, Thomas L. Adams, made comments to her, such as "you're sexy," "you're going to get me fired" and "damn, you're sexy." She said she had forgotten her gym shirt that day and Adams asked her what was under her sweatshirt, saying "let me take a peek" and "if you want a good grade, you'll have to show me."
The girl said that Adams told her if she wanted to get a good grade for the day she would have to show him her chest. When the bell rang, she got away from the situation and went back to change into her regular clothes.
Adams has been arrested for one count of Child Enticement. The maximum sentence for the crime is 25 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
