Former Packers cheerleader 'overwhelmed' with support after cyberbullied on Facebook
NEW YORK - A former cheerleader for the Green Bay Packers expressed thanksgiving Monday at how Packers, Bears fans and the cyber-verse in general have supported her after she endured bullying on Facebook.
Users then posted many vulgar and demeaning comments about her.
She then uploaded a YouTube video where she fought back against the commenters, and the owner of the fan page eventually took down the post.
“I am extremely surprised. When I uploaded the video, it was completely just in thanks to everybody that did stand up for me,” Collins said on NBC's "Today."
“I (was) honestly overwhelmed with all the wonderful support that I’ve gotten.”
"We all struggle with body images and especially in today’s society, for somebody to go online and type those kinds of things, out of a picture of mine out for everybody to see, it was very hurtful."
