Candidates for Wis. Supreme Court to be at forum
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- All three candidates for Wisconsin Supreme Court are scheduled to appear at a public forum together for the first time.
Incumbent Justice Pat Roggensack, law professor Ed Fallone and consumer lawyer Vince Megna will answer questions from a moderator and audience members Thursday in Milwaukee.
The event comes 12 days before the candidates meet in a Feb. 19 primary to whittle the slate from three candidates to two. The general election is April 2.
Recent campaign-finance reports show Roggensack with $55,000 in the bank heading into January. That compares with about $7,000 for Megna and $5,400 for Fallone. Roggensack's totals don't include another $20,000 she received from a national group that advocates for private school vouchers.
No other joint appearances are scheduled before the primary.
