Amtrak rider arrested with 7 pounds of marijuana
LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) -- Police were ready for a suspicious Amtrak passenger when he arrived at the La Crosse train station.
Authorities in Portland, Ore., alerted local police that the 25-year-old Boscobel man was acting suspiciously and traveling to La Crosse. Police searched the man's bags with the help of a drug-sniffing dog. Officials say they found about $30,000 worth of marijuana in the man's bags.
The La Crosse Tribune says he's due in court Wednesday.
