Storm Team 4Cast for 2/6/13
Winter Storm Warning
MILWAUKEE - A winter storm warning has been issued for Thursday from 6:00 a.m. until midnight for all of Southeastern Wisconsin.
At last, we'll get a break in the action for the fast moving series of compact snow-makers.
High pressure builds into our region today and ushers in more sunshine and a dry midweek Wednesday.
That respite will be short lived though as another low pressure center rapidly approaches us from the northwest.
This latest system will start spreading light snow into the area as early as this evening and the snow may mix with sleet and freezing rain for a period tonight.
The system grows more vigorous tomorrow with some significant additional snowfall accumulations likely.
This snow will be a heavier, wetter snow than the previous couple of systems.
More mild air will continue working its way Eastward as temperatures moderate through the 30s during the next several days.
