Update
2 semis run into Racine squad car, leave the scene
CALEDONIA - A Racine Police officer is in the hospital after his squad car was "clipped" by a semi, sending the squad car spinning into the wall on I-94 Eastbound, south of Seven Mile Road.
According to State Patrol Trooper Reis, the squad hit the wall several times, became lodged under another semi, and then ended up in a ditch.
The officer was taken by rescue to St. Mary’s hospital in Racine for back and facial injuries from airbag deployment.
The semi that caused the accident has a blue trailer, was last scene traveling southboud from the scene of the crash.
Neither semi stopped at the scene.
