Fined, but not charged after spitting on woman at GOP rally
GRAND CHUTE, Wis.- An elderly woman who spit on a Mitt Romney supporter at a political event last year will not face criminal charges.
The August event in Grand Chute, Wisconsin, was part of a statewide "Wisconsin Women for Mitt" tour
The 83 year old woman is shown on video interrupting Republican state Sen. Alberta Darling to ask about the GOP's opposition to Planned Parenthood.
A woman standing nearby says in a loud voice, "Wait until she's done. Zip it. Zip it." That's when the video shows the elderly woman spitting on her.
According to WLUK-TV report shows a Green Lake County prosecutor recommended a $277 fine but no charges.
