Two Shootings Leave Multiple People Hurt

MILWAUKEE - It was a violent Saturday night on the streets.

Two shootings within hours and blocks of one another left several people hurt.

The first shooting happened near 35th and Cherry around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Elaine McKinzy, the victim's mother, told TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Tom Murray her 14-year-old son was shot, his 15-year-old cousin was pistol-whipped, and an 18-year-old woman was ran over by the get away car.

The boy who was shot was taken to Children's Hospital.

McKinzy says her son was shot in the leg. Police said all the victims were treated and released by Sunday morning.

They say that the incident was part of an on-going neighborhood dispute.

Meanwhile, a couple hours later in Sherman Park, police responded to another shooting.

Police say the victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot in the leg and was taken to Froedtert Hospital in critical condition.
