MILWAUKEE - A husband accused of killing his wife, a Wauwatosa Police officer, pleaded not guilty to the charge against him Thursday morning in Milwaukee.
Ben Sebena allegedly murdered his spouse Jennifer while she was on patrol outside the Wauwatosa Fire Department on Christmas Eve morning.
Ben faces a charge of first degree intentional homicide.
TODAY'S TMJ4's Melissa McCrady reports that Ben didn't talk during the hearing, and he barely looked at his family.
He was wheeled into court Thursday in a wheelchair and wearing a suicide-prevention vest.
Defense attorney Michael Steinle entered the plea on his behalf, and Judge David Borowski accepted the plea.
Prosecutors say their case against Sebena has taken time, as several law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation.
Sebena, his attorney and his family declined to comment.
His next court date comes March 1st at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
