Robber wore a Bucky Badger hat
MADISON, Wis. - A robber who held up an east side credit union with a plastic Star Wars toy gun tells police he did so to pay off his $250-thousand student loans.
Madison police say 49-year-old Randall Hubatch of Madison walked into the Summit Credit Union at 1799 Thierer Road on January 11th wearing a three-dimensional Bucky Badger hat and handed the teller a note demanding cash.
A University spokesman says Hubatch earned a bachelor's degree in English in 1998 and a law degree in 2004.
