Teenager arrested after wrong-way driving, chase and crash in Waukesha County
WAUKESHA - The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department has arrested a 19-year-old man from Milwaukee after a chase that led to a crash.
A spokesperson says that the teenager was going the wrong way on State Highway 164 near Tower Place in Pewaukee.
When deputies discovered the driver, a chase began. The vehicle was going as fast as 80 miles per hour.
The driver allegedly went through two red lights before reaching Waukesha.
The vehicle struck a utility pole near Pewaukee Road and Buena Vista Avenue.
Waukesha Fire crews took the man to Waukesha Memorial Hospital, where doctors treated and released him.
Authorities tell Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Jodi Becker the driver did not have a license.
