Alleged drunk wrong-way freeway driver faces court in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE - A man accused of drunk driving the wrong way through the Mitchell Interchange was expected to appear in court in Milwaukee.
Daniel Bostedt, 56, was expected to plead guilty at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
Investigators said he was one of at least 37 drivers caught driving the wrong way on Milwaukee freeways in 2012.
He allegedly drove the wrong way on northbound I-43/94 in October.
DOT video showed him driving past Holt, Howard, Layton and Oklahoma Avenues.
Bostedt made it to the Mitchell Interchange, where construction workers managed to stop him.
He faces four criminal charges for the incident, including OWI.
His court hearing was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Monday.
