West Bend woman convicted of deadly child neglect
WEST BEND - 25-year-old Leann Leszynski of West Bend has been convicted of felony child neglect resulting in the death of her 3-year-old daughter.
Haley Kluwe was found dead in her mother's apartment last May.
Leszynski pleaded no contest to the crime as part of a plea agreement that resulted in the dismissal of seven drug-related charges against her in the incident.
A Washington County Circuit Judge found her guilty of the neglect charge, and convicted her of the crime at a hearing Friday. Sentencing will be on April 12.
Leszynski could be imprisoned for up to 15 years plus 10 years of state supervision for the felony offense.
