Wis. gun control advocate: reform 'is going to be difficult'
WASHINGTON - Vice President Joe Biden met with Wisconsin gun control advocates during a meeting Wednesday on how to curb gun violence.
Jeri Bonavera, executive director of Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort (WAVE), was among those on hand.
"It was a great meeting," Bonavera told WTMJ's Wisconsin's Afternoon News. "I was incredibly heartened to hear the enthusiasm and commitment from the vice president and attorney general."
Biden outlined several possibilities during the meeting, according to Bonavera.
"Creating this kind of reform is going to be difficult," she explained. "But if we (consider compromises on both sides), we could make some real progress."
"They have everything out on the table."
