A larger storm system brewing in the Southern plains will finally break the quiet pattern with a surge of moisture sending rain into the region late Thursday into very early Friday. Get ready for readings to reach near 50 degrees for Friday and Saturday before an Arctic cold front sends the mercury plummeting back into the 20s for Sunday.
