Mild stretch stays, but rain on the way
MILWAUKEE - High pressure easing by to our south will provide another day of quiet and dry weather with plenty of sunshine.
A substantial pressure gradient, the difference between that high and a low to our Northeast will produce windy conditions.
Those west and southwest breezes will bring more very warm air for this time of year with the continuation of our January thaw.
A larger storm system brewing in the Southern plains will finally break the quiet pattern with a surge of moisture sending rain into the region late Thursday into very early Friday.
Get ready for readings to reach near 50 degrees for Friday and Saturday before an Arctic cold front sends the mercury plummetting back into the 20s for Sunday.
