Milwaukee woman killed in Oklahoma crash Christmas Day
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Two people were killed in separate auto accidents on Oklahoma roads left slick by a winter storm.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 76-year-old Grace Hanson of Milwaukee and 28-year-old Amanda Goodman of Woodward died in the Christmas Day collisions.
Troopers say Hanson was a passenger in a car that was hit head-on when a pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic on Interstate 44 near the Oklahoma-Texas state line in Cotton County.
Goodman died when the sport-utility vehicle she was in went out of control and collided with a tractor-trailer in Major County.
Oklahoma utilities are reporting no storm-related power outages. Public Service Co. of Oklahoma reported about 430 outages in Tulsa on Wednesday morning are because of an auto accident in which a power pole was knocked down.
