Milwaukee Police shoot woman after she rams squad car
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Police have a 31-year-old woman in custody after officers say she tried to ram them with a pickup truck which they thought was stolen.
According to the police department, officers spotted the Ford F-250 a little before 7 on Christmas Eve and followed it to an alley near 72nd and Mill.
Police say the woman attempted a U-turn and rammed the squad on the driver's side. According to police, the woman backed up and appeared as though she was going to ram the squad again.
The officer fired his weapon and grazed the woman.
The woman and the officer are being treated for injuries.
Police say the woman has an arrest history.
The officer has been placed on a standard desk duty.
