Lt. Gerald Witkowski from the Wauwatosa Police Department, gives press conference about Wauwatosa Police Officer City Hall. Officer Jennifer Lynn Sebena was shot and killed this morning.
WAUWATOSA - Wauwatosa Police say one of the department's officers was shot and killed while on duty overnight.
That officer has been identified as Jennifer Sebena. She was 30 years old. Police say she was shot multiple times. She made no call for help.
Police are asking the public for any information they may have about the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 414-771-8672.
Sebena was found near Underwood and Harmonee. Police began looking for Sebena after she did not respond to a radio call.
The murder took place sometime between 3 and 5 this morning.
Police say they don't believe there's an immediate threat to people in the area. Investigators have searched that area and say it's clear.
The State Department of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation
