Adoption just in time for Christmas
MILWAUKEE - The anticipation of Annie's arrival was on the young faces of friends and family at Milwaukee's airport.
Jeff and Debbie Baker arrived home holding their newest child after two weeks in China and nearly two years of adoption paperwork.
"It has been a lot of patience just waiting," Debbie says. "It's very exciting to have her with us."
Annie is child number six for the Bakers. They have four biological children and another child adopted from China.
"We can not wait to introduce her to our friends and family and to our Lord, Jesus Christ who made this all possible," Jeff says.
Big brother Cole is happy to have another sister.
"It feels great," Cole says.
Despite the long flight and lack of sleep, little Annie was taking it all in. After years of living in a big orphanage, she now has a big family to call home.
"We just felt blessed we had a litte extra room in our house and a little extra room in our hearts, so it's easy," Debbie says.
