Home invasions may be connected
WAUWATOSA - A rash of home invasions and burglaries in the Milwaukee area may be connected.
New Berlin police are investigating three burglaries that occurred last month that bare striking similarities to other recent crimes.
In one case, thieves tried to pry open a door with a crowbar in Wauwatosa.
Authorities say people working in the potential crime ring may not even know what town they're in. Instead they likely drive around looking for unlocked doors and valuables in plain view.
