MILWAUKEE - A man accused of killing his girlfriend's son was expected to appear in a courtroom in Milwaukee on Monday.
Marcos Colin, 23, faces charges of neglect and physical abuse of a child.
On Oct. 5, Jayden Banda-Goodman, 5, was taken to a hospital.
His mother later admitted that Colin beat him in order to "toughen him up."
The mother also faces neglect charges.
