Child porn sentencing in Waukesha

WAUKESHA - A man from Waukesha County was expected to learn his fate for keeping child pornography.
The same man also faces charges in Milwaukee County for the alleged sexual assault of a teenage boy he met on a cell phone dating app.
Daniel Schmidt was to face his punishment Monday afternoon.
Schmidt, 21, posed as a 16-year-old through a smartphone app called skout.com and exchanged sexual pictures with a teenage boy.
Schmidt also faces another sentencing date in Milwaukee for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy.
The victim is the same, but investigators say the crimes happened in two different counties.
In a plea deal, Schmidt pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing child pornography.
They eventually met in a park in Hales Corners.
Schmidt's hearing was scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
