Wisconsin troops getting prepared for Afghanistan
PLYMOUTH, Wis. - Family and friends are saying farewell to Wisconsin soldiers.
Eighty members from the Battery B, First Battalion and 121st Field Artillery Unit out of Plymouth are headed for training in Fort Bliss, Texas.
They will then be deployed to Afghanistan on a fire support mission.
An emotional send-off took place Saturday.
Governor Scott Walker was among the dignitaries at the send-off ceremony.
