Policeman makes 'remarkable' boots donation to homeless man
NEW YORK CITY - The generosity of one of New York's finest becoming a good samaritan for a homeless man has become a viral symbol of the holiday season.
Lawrence DePrimo, a NYPD officer, told NBC's "Today" Show that he "(didn't) care what the price is. We just got to help him out,” when he found a homeless, shoeless man on a recent cold evening in America's largest city.
He didn't know at the time that someone took a photo of him giving that gift, and that photo has gone viral worldwide.
