Sunburst Ski Area opening for skiers, snowboarders
KEWASKUM- The cold weather is settling in and that's good news for local skiers and snowboarders.
It's cold enough for ski hills like Sunburst to make snow. TODAY'S TMJ4's Jesse Ritka says this time last year learning to snowboard wouldn't have even been possible because of the warm weather. So officials at ski hills are optimistic about this year.
"It's going to be a better year than last year because last year was so unusually warm this year will be better," says Jim Engel of the Sunburst Ski Area.
Jesse Ritka got a snowboard lesson on the freshly made snow before Sunburst open their slopes to the public Wednesday afternoon. Click on the video link to see her story.
