Thompson, Baldwin push towards finish line
MILWAUKEE - Wisconsin's U.S. Senate race candidates are keeping a grueling pace in the campaign's final hours.
"We're on fire ladies and gentlemen," Tommy Thompson says to supporters.
After a Sunday rally, Thompson met with us.
"I'm pushing very hard for a Romney-Ryan-Thompson ticket because we need that to change America," Thompson says.
TODAY'S TMJ4 asked Thompson about negative ads run by his opponent, Democrat Tammy Baldwin.
"Just because I'm successful in business, that doesn't mean I'm different," Thompson says. "I think people want somebody that's successful."
Congresswoman Baldwin took a rare break on the campaign trail to watch the Packers-Cardinals game with supporters and volunteers on Milwaukee's south side Sunday.
"Today we stand in strong shape and I'm very excited about that," Baldwin says.
TODAY'S TMJ4 asked her about negative ads run by Thompson that paint her as too liberal.
"I think all the voters are pretty exhausted with the portrayals and are looking to know the candidates," Baldwin says.
Despite a push for early voting, both candidates say they plan to cast their personal ballots on Election Day.
