Muskego police sergeant arrested for domestic violence
MUSKEGO- Muskego police have arrested one of their own following an incident of domestic violence.
No one came to the door when TODAY'S TMJ4 knocked Wednesday evening. But neighbors say they didn't think much of the police presence at Muskego Police Sgt. Chad Dornbach's home Tuesday afternoon, since Dornbach is a police officer.
Waukesha police logs show one of his children called 9-1-1 about 4:30 Tuesday afternoon -- after Dornbach reportedly attacked his wife.
In a statement, Muskego's police chief said an outside agency will make sure his officers did nothing wrong, writing, "The Waukesha County sheriff has agreed to conduct an internal investigation of our department regarding this incident."
The police chief wouldn't say anything beyond what is in that statement -- while the Waukesha County district attorney reviews this case for possible charges.
Meanwhile, Dornbach's police powers have been suspended.
