WEST ALLIS- A peaceful walk Wednesday afternoon turns into a terrifying attack for one woman.

Linda Sorenson says she was walking her four-month-old Welsh Corgi, named Guinness, when it was devoured by two bulldogs.

Sorenson is still troubled by how her dog died.

"It was a horrible, horrible death for that puppy," says Sorenson.  "Yeah a member of the family (crying) and it's just really sad."

A two-year-old American Bulldog is now locked up.  Police say it and another bulldog escaped from a house near 56th and Lapham and attacked the puppy.

"And there were two kids chasing saying 'grab your dog.'  These things just came charging at me," recalls Sorenson.  "It was such a haze.  Our dog was dead; I had blood and everything all over me."

The owner of the bulldogs refused to talk on camera but says her children tried to get the dogs after they escaped.  She says the bulldogs have never attacked before and says this is a tragic accident.

West Allis police say they have responded to the home twice before -- including once for another dog fight.

The future of the bulldogs is uncertain.

The bulldogs' owner received a citation.  The case is currently under review.  Depending on how it plays out, the dogs could be put down or returned to the owner.
